Workshop Description
The Neuropsychological Assessment of Children and Teens course provides an in-depth exploration of the principles and practices involved in assessing neuropsychological functioning in young individuals. The general education goal of the presentation is for professionals to gain a more in-depth understanding of neuropsychological assessment, from why and when to refer children and teens for assessment, through the assessment process, ending with diagnostic and treatment outcomes.

Presenter's Bio
Dr. Lisa Hancock is a licensed clinical psychologist who provides neuropsychological assessments for ages 2 through adult, and counseling and psychotherapy to children (ages 12+), teens, families, couples, and adults. She has experience with neurodevelopmental, learning, processing, anxiety, and mood disorders, including ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, dyslexia, math and writing disorders, dyspraxia, auditory and visual processing, communication and language disorders, anxiety disorders, disruptive behavior disorders, and depressive disorders. Dr. Hancock is experienced in conducting Independent Educational Evaluations (IEE), as well as supporting parents through the Individualized Education Plan (IEP) process. She is licensed in both California and Nevada and is certified through the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES). Dr. Hancock speaks at local, state, and national conferences; works with school and district administrators to provide teacher in-service training; conducts parent education workshops; and provides presentations at area schools and community events.
