Daniel Waldman, MD is board certified in General Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He is in private practice with offices in Hermosa Beach and Torrance, California, where he sees children, adolescents, and adults.
Dr. Waldman previously served as the Training Director of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship Program at Lousiana State University in New Orleans. While on faculty, he led the consult-liaison service at Children’s Hospital New Orleans and oversaw psychiatric care through a partnership with Thrive Kids and the New Orleans Public School District, providing both direct clinical care and consultation within school settings.
Prior to his medical training, Dr. Waldman taught high school physics and chemistry for four years. He has a longstanding clinical interest in neurodevelopmental conditions, including ADHD and autism spectrum disorder. He is an active member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
