Suicide at its core is a challenging topic to consider and raises the red flags of clinicians everywhere.  For many, there is a complex relationship related to our understanding and work with individuals who are struggling with these thoughts and urges.  Our self as a therapist can come into question as we grapple with using the right words to appropriately assess while maintaining our joining with the client. This six (6) hour training meets the BBS requirements for suicide assessment and intervention required of all clinician and will walk you through how to navigate this complex dynamic.

    1. Attendees will learn at least three (3) precursors to assess for suicidal thoughts
    2. Attendees will explore at least three (3) interventions to utilize with some experiencing an increase in suicidal ideation
    3. Attendees will consider and develop at least four (4) self-care aspects to regulate their own counter-transference
