Welcome!

If you are a Marriage and Family Therapist practicing in the Long Beach or South Bay areas, welcome. The Long Beach - South Bay chapter of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT) invites you to take part in a community of licensed clinicians, pre-licensed clinicians, trainees, students, and related professionals who care about supportive relationships, professional development, and useful networking opportunities.

Welcome to those of you who are just visiting the LBSB Chapter website!  I am filled with gratitude for the continued support of the Long Beach South Bay Chapter of CAMFT Members.  Your commitment to our mission has helped drive significant progress in expanding effective therapeutic services and critical mental health care for the Long Beach and South Bay communities and beyond. 

As I take on the role of President, I recognize each one of you is making every effort to meet the rising need in mental health care services. With your generosity, and kindness through membership fees and donations as well as the sponsorship donations we receive we are able to:

  • Provide expert educational presentations which include continuing education credits.

  • Support to those who are Pre Licensed on the road to Licensure.

  • Collaborative networking opportunities at each Event whether social or educational.

  • Launch Special Interest Groups among the local Clinicians in various formats.

Thank you for standing with us as we work to make a lasting impact in the professional lives of those who need it most.  Clinicians at all levels! Why? They pour into the lives of hurting people using their expertise to provide effective emotional support and unconditional acceptance.

The Long Beach - South Bay Chapter of CAMFT (California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists) is a local chapter devoted to serving its members, the mental health profession, the local community and its residents. Our purpose is to create an environment in which licensed therapists, pre-licensed trainees & associates, and allied professionals, can network and grow personally and professionally.
